We had the pleasure of staying here with my Sister and her partner who live in Melbourne. We were visiting from the UK for a  month in January and I can honestly say this was one of the highlights of our holiday.

The Coach house has everything you could possibly need. Utensils and crockery gallore! There is a pool table along with enough books to fill a small library and games to suit all ages. Ideal if you are unfortunate enough to have bad weather.

We had a BBQ for the 2 nights we were there and sat comfortable at the table in the outdoor furniture provided, chatting until late. The accommodation is very homely with lots of little nik nacs dotted around the place. It is clean and spacious. We could not fault it and would highly recommend it to anyone whatever age. If you don’t try it for yourself you have missed a treat! What more can I say!

Step back in time! We had an awesome stay at the Coach House. Everything you need and nothing you don’t,  a real chance to unwind and escape modern life. Location is fantastic and the smells and sounds of the steam railway beneath you add to the atmosphere (not early or late!). We had three days which was perfect and had some great walks and experiences. Special mention for the Wally Pub on New Year’s Eve…great chicken parmas!!! Thanks, Anna – everything was smooth and easy!

A peaceful, beautiful place with Olde Worlde charm. Walhalla has plenty of things to see and do or you can just relax at the Coach House. We had a great time, the beds were comfortable and we especially loved sitting outside with our cuppa watching the steam strain do its thing. The padded outdoor setting was very comfortable. Has a lovely ambience, we really enjoyed it.

Warm Friendly Relaxing. So warm and comfy will take the grand kids next time. Lots of lovely books to read and toys there for the kids.

Loved our stay! Great cosy home with everything you could need. The town was lovely and loved seeing the train coming in. Easy to find from the directions and a beautiful drive in to the town.

Rustic Brilliance

We had a great weekend in cold but beautiful Walhalla staying at the Coach House. A terrific setting with a beautiful old house. The great fireplace kept us warm and we enjoyed the sitting areas immensely. Getting everything set up on arrival in the dark was a challenge but we couldn’t have enjoyed ourselves more. Thanks for the hospitality!

We had a wonderful time at the Coach House. The fire kept us warm in the winter. The village of Walhalla was a delight to wander through with all the history. It was fun to step back in time and enjoy being away from so many modern conveniences, but still very comfortable. What a peaceful place to stay with only the sound of the birds and the occasional train whistle. I would recommend staying here. Anna was helpful with my requests and easy to contact.

An excellent place every bit as good as the pictures. Nice and cool in very hot weather. Great facilities. Place was all set up for us when we got there. Anna was easy to contact. Family enjoyed sitting around just reading and playing games at night or looking out at the walls of green (mountains) House had all mod cons and great kitchen. During the day explored the rivers, gold mine, bush etc. Walhalla is easily the most beautiful town in Victoria. It is only a few minutes walk into town. Make sure before coming to do your shopping in towns before Walhalla, ie Moe or Morwell as little to buy there. Also need petrol from those towns. Thanks Anna .
