…..We stayed in the picturesque town of Walhalla in September- a beautiful time to come with Spring in full bloom. The first building that greets you as you enter Walhalla is the gorgeous Coach House- which we were lucky enough to call our home for 3 nights, staying with our 2 young children and my parents. Aside from being homely and rustic, the Coach House had all the amenities you could possibly need for a relaxing getaway- a beautiful wood heater, large kitchen and living area and a room full of toys and activities for our children. This was a real bonus and made our stay extra special. The Coach House is located in a breathtaking location overlooking the trees and the Walhalla railway just beneath. Everything is in walking distance and by far, if you are staying with a family or in a large group, is hands down the best accommodation in Walhalla. We cannot wait to come back!

Just spent a wonderful weekend at The Coach House, totally relaxing and enjoying the beautiful surroundings.   Great location, gorgeous old house above the Walhalla train station and 200 metres from the amazing Wally Pub.  Would definitely recommend this place to stay.

‘Incredible heritage house! What a privilege it was to stay in this home. We love this little town and will be back very soon 🙂  Thanks, you have an incredible holiday house!’

House was spotless thanks to Tanya’s efforts (even though she was coming down with a cold). All beds were comfy, even the fold out couch in the living room. Kitchen well equipped to cater for 6 people. Games and entertainment provided great! Fire kept the upstairs toasty and warm.

Fabulous Experience!!!

This place is totally awesome. It’s like stepping back in time with just the right amount of modern conveniences. So many amazing collectables to enjoy and so many activities to keep the kids occupied. It’s so close to everything and really there’s nothing at all you need except to pack!! It was freezing cold the weekend that we stayed but there was plenty of heating and a wood fire. We stayed here after having a disastrous experience at another local place called The Bakery. It was uninhabitable and we were totally stuck. A kind local told us about the Coachhouse and our weekend was absolutely made. Thank you Anna for your hospitality and for helping us out in a fairly awful situation. We will definitely be back.  We just did not want to leave.

‘Loved the pool table and books.  Was great just chilling around the fire’

Perfect Walhalla Accommodation

The Coach House is beautiful and very well equipped for the whole family. Having been to Walhalla many times, l feel very grateful at the opportunity of staying in such a true walhalla treasure on this visit. Anna’s instructions were simple and booking process simple. Just brilliant!!!

“The Coach house was a beautiful place to stay. It was easy to check in even though we arrived late at night (don’t forget your torches). The kitchen was well equipped. We cooked a big Mexican feast the first night. Plenty of room for the 8 of us and plenty of books and games to keep us entertained. We did the ghost tour in town on the Saturday night which was really interesting. Walhalla is absolutely beautiful and easy to see just walking from Annas place. Thanks for having us.”

My husband & I stayed in the spacious Coach House. Although much larger accommodation than Stringer’s Cottage it was still cosy, warm & comfortable. There is no shortage of games, books & other activities to keep you entertained if you don’t feel like just chilling out (which is what we did). We enjoyed a relaxing weekend in Walhalla exploring & absorbing the rich history.
We caught the train to Thomson & navigated the walking tracks to Poverty Point then back to the Walhalla township where we enjoyed a cold beer at the Wally Pub. We wandered through the cemetery, trekked to the cricket ground perched above the township & explored the depths of the Long Tunnel Mine. It was a perfect place to disconnect from everyday business & reconnect with each other.
