A very cosy and relaxing place to spend some time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Walhalla Coach House. The warm glow of the wood-fire, and the atmosphere it created was just a great place to spend as a small group to catch up of the family happenings. This coupled with a nicely prepared meal, with a few glasses of wine, who could ask for a better way to relax. The layout and amenities suited just fine, breaking up the kitchen, dining & relaxing perfectly. The weather was gorgeous, nice crisp mornings followed by bright sunny day, just magic. We will certainly be back for another relaxing stay.

Divine Retreat

A trip to Walhalla is incomplete without a stay in Coach House.

The interiors and the location of the house make one more receptive to experience the divinity of the wilderness.

We still cherish the time spent in coach house and will surely visit this winter and try to comprehend the hidden stories in each of the minute items/objects collected by Anna.

The coach house indeed talks with right people. Thanks to Anna for giving us an opportunity to have a bonding with the Coach House

What a fabulous Olde Fashioned Holiday we had for a week in Jan 2018, we all loved it.  We took both cottages for our family, with granddaughters aged 3-13 years.

Both are unique, olde fashioned & quaint, both had everything we needed & more.  Exceptionally clean & very warm & friendly feel.  Beautiful woolen rugs covered the floor boards. The older girls enjoyed the pool table and the many games.

Great bush walks in Walhalla to explore especially the 6km walk along the old Tramway Track to Thomson River & the old Railway Station with the tourist train, what a winner.  The river to swim in & the train to ride back to Walhalla in, the Gorge was amazing.

The township of Walhalla is small but interesting, the old mine, the old Post-Office/Museum, the bandstand, The Wally Pub, cafes & the old Cemetery, so much to see & do.

Thank you Anna for making our booking so easy, answering questions and making our stay a sheer delight.”

Unique and very comfortable

Our family of 4 stayed for 3 nights in The Coach House. It has been beautifully restored and is very comfortable. Unlike many houses we have rented, this one is full of personal effects and useful items. Stacks of books and games, extensive crockery etc in the kitchen, lots of pictures on the walls. The games room was a hit with our family and we played many games of pool. We are keen hikers and particularly recommend the walk to Mt Erica, via Mushroom Rocks. The walk begins about 20 mins drive from Walhalla and takes 3-4 hrs return. Otherwise the town of Walhalla is delightful to wander through and is nice and quiet this time of year. Thanks Anna for a great break away from the frenzy of Christmas!

We had the pleasure of staying here with my Sister and her partner who live in Melbourne. We were visiting from the UK for a  month in January and I can honestly say this was one of the highlights of our holiday.

The Coach house has everything you could possibly need. Utensils and crockery gallore! There is a pool table along with enough books to fill a small library and games to suit all ages. Ideal if you are unfortunate enough to have bad weather.

We had a BBQ for the 2 nights we were there and sat comfortable at the table in the outdoor furniture provided, chatting until late. The accommodation is very homely with lots of little nik nacs dotted around the place. It is clean and spacious. We could not fault it and would highly recommend it to anyone whatever age. If you don’t try it for yourself you have missed a treat! What more can I say!

Step back in time! We had an awesome stay at the Coach House. Everything you need and nothing you don’t,  a real chance to unwind and escape modern life. Location is fantastic and the smells and sounds of the steam railway beneath you add to the atmosphere (not early or late!). We had three days which was perfect and had some great walks and experiences. Special mention for the Wally Pub on New Year’s Eve…great chicken parmas!!! Thanks, Anna – everything was smooth and easy!

A peaceful, beautiful place with Olde Worlde charm. Walhalla has plenty of things to see and do or you can just relax at the Coach House. We had a great time, the beds were comfortable and we especially loved sitting outside with our cuppa watching the steam strain do its thing. The padded outdoor setting was very comfortable. Has a lovely ambience, we really enjoyed it.
